Everyday care through OptimalMD

Talk to a doctor. Get eligible prescriptions. Complete ordered lab work.

The $149 monthly Family Plan serves up to seven household members with unlimited virtual urgent and primary care, eligible medications and lab tests at $0, and additional member services.

Benefits depend on the medication, test, provider network, and current membership terms. OptimalMD is a healthcare membership, not health insurance.

GLP-1 is an optional add-on

Weight-management care plus household healthcare.

If your insurance does not cover weight-loss medication, you can explore OptimalMD’s cash-pay options with a licensed clinician. Approval is based on your medical evaluation; a prescription is not guaranteed.

Example: $149/month for the Family Plan + $199 every four weeks for the semaglutide injection program, if prescribed. Consultations, follow-ups, and eligible ordered labs are included with membership. Shipping and state taxes may apply.

Four-week medication billing differs from monthly membership billing. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved.

In-person care & separate protection

Plan for the care and protection beyond membership.

When hands-on care is needed, OptimalMD’s care coordination team can help you find local services; outside services may have separate charges. The membership does not pay hospital or emergency bills like major medical insurance.

Talk with a SvelteRX representative about separate major medical or catastrophic coverage options and life insurance, subject to availability and eligibility. Life insurance provides financial protection; it does not replace medical coverage.

Your 10-point GLP-1 guide

Choosing a weight-loss program should feel like an informed decision. Start with what’s included—and what isn’t.

01
The foundation

You’re looking at more than a prescription.

Care, connected

The program brings together an OptimalMD Family Plan and a separate GLP-1 treatment option, when approved by a licensed clinician.

That means the decision isn’t just about medication. It’s also about the healthcare membership, the support available, and whether the overall arrangement fits your needs.

The takeaway: Look at the complete care arrangement, not just a medication price.
02
The price, unpacked

Understand both prices.
And both billing cycles.

A clearer cost picture

For the semaglutide injection option, the cost has two parts:

$149
Family Plan
per month
+
$199
Semaglutide injection program
every four weeks, if prescribed
$348 combined when both charges are due.

The membership and medication run on different billing cycles. Four-week billing is not the same as calendar-month billing. Shipping and state taxes may apply.

Pricing checked against OptimalMD’s published program on September 19, 2026. Confirm current terms before enrollment. Other treatment options have different prices.

The takeaway: Confirm the total, the renewal schedule, and any additional charges before paying.
03
Care for the household

The Family Plan isn’t just for one person.

Room for your household

The $149 monthly Family Plan is described as covering up to seven people total, with virtual medical care and eligible medication, laboratory, and talk-therapy benefits.

GLP-1 treatment is a separate part of the offering. Household membership does not mean every member receives GLP-1 medication.

Know the distinction: This is a private healthcare network membership, not health insurance. Benefits and eligibility have conditions.
04
A clinical decision

A clinician decides whether treatment is appropriate.

Guided by a clinician

Enrollment is not a guaranteed prescription. A licensed provider reviews the medical assessment and determines eligibility before GLP-1 treatment begins.

STEP 1Review the membership terms
STEP 2Complete the medical assessment
STEP 3Begin treatment only if approved
Before you join: Understand what happens to the membership if GLP-1 treatment is not approved.
05
Beyond the medication

Ask what ongoing support actually includes.

Your support system

The program includes a combination of clinical care and support throughout treatment:

Doctor-guided check-ins
Covered laboratory testing
Nutrition guidance
Coaching
Sleep support
24/7 clinical support

Review how each service is accessed and which conditions apply. Not every medication, laboratory test, or outside service is covered at no additional cost.

The takeaway: A list of benefits is more useful when you know how to use them.
06
Two separate decisions

The membership can stand on its own.

Two parts. Your choice.

The program terms explain that the Family Plan remains yours if you do not qualify for GLP-1 treatment. Consider whether you want the membership independently of the medication program.

You may also use separately prescribed treatment alongside the Family Plan. That is not enrollment in OptimalMD’s GLP-1 program; the outside prescriber remains responsible for that medication and related care.

The takeaway: Evaluate the membership and the treatment as two connected—but distinct—choices.
07
Your next step

Get your questions answered before you commit.

Move forward with clarity

SvelteRX provides information and guidance. Enrollment and payment take place through its healthcare network partner.

Before moving forward, clarify current pricing, cancellation terms, the proposed medication, eligibility requirements, and the care available to you. Ask the clinician about treatment risks and alternatives.

Medication detail: Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. Also note that microdose regimens have not been studied in clinical trials. Results vary.
08
Personal milestones

Progress includes more than the scale.

Weight management is ongoing care. Alongside weight, discuss practical goals such as activity, everyday function and the health measures your clinician follows.

A consistent eating and activity plan supports treatment. Choose habits you can sustain and review your progress at follow-up visits.

09
Product and pharmacy

Know the exact product you receive.

Ask for the medication name, formulation, concentration and dispensing pharmacy. An FDA-approved product and a compounded preparation have different regulatory status.

Use the instructions supplied for that exact product. If the label, syringe markings or delivered medicine do not match your instructions, ask the pharmacy before using it.

10
Keeping care on track

Plan ahead for refills and time away.

Before a trip or refill, confirm delivery timing, storage and how to contact the pharmacy. Product-specific storage requirements matter, including during shipping.

Ask your care team what to do if treatment is interrupted. A missed-dose or restart plan should match your prescription, rather than a schedule borrowed from another product.
